Class Covenant
2010 - 2011

We, the members of 1st grade, promise to show P.R.I.S.M.

as we learn, play, and pray at St. Matthew School.

Pride

We can take pride in our work.

We can be proud of our classroom by keeping it tidy.

Respect

We can respect the teachers, classmates, and everyone around us

by listening and being nice to them.

We can respect God by saying our prayers.

Inclusion

We can include everyone.

We can invite others to play.

We can be nice to everyone.

We don't make play-dates at school.

Safety

We can keep our hands and bodies to ourselves.

We don't spit or blow on people.

We walk in the classroom and the school.

We can use the crosswalk in the parking lot.

We don't touch people if they don't want to be touched. We always ask first.

We don't play beauty parlor at school.

We don't bring weapons to school.  We don't make imaginary weapons.

We push our chairs in.

Manners

We use polite words and show polite faces. We don't stick our tongue out or make mean faces.

We move quietly in the hallway so we don't disturb other students.

We say please and thank you.

We listen to people's answers, and respect their choices.

We don't talk with our mouth full.
