Math

• Use the commutative and Identity property to find sums
• Use a number line to count on when adding
• Use double and "near" doubles to find sums
• Group addends differently to make a sum
• Write a number sentence to solve problems
• Count back to find the difference
• Subtract all or zero to find the difference

Writing Workshop

• Write a variety of topics. Introduce the chosen topic with a lead sentence, provide supporting details, and write a conclusion.
• Students revise and refine first drafts for clarity and effectiveness
• Capitalize all proper nouns, words at the beginning of sentences, letter salutations, months and days of the week, and titles and initials of people.
• Write a letter which includes a date, greeting, body, and closing 
• Read written selections aloud to classmates using your voice to "capture" your audience's attention

• Explore the Sunday worship experience and learn the meaning of the signs and symbols they witness.
• Welcome others and celebrate a holy meal at Mass
