Robotics Club and Team
Robotics Club for students in Grades 3-5:
All work is performed in teams of 2 or 4 students per robot. Teamwork is a crucial skill in the modern workplace, and the challenges of the robotics activities lend themselves to group solutions. Each team member will have different roles with those roles changing on a regular basis, allowing students to share responsibility for all aspects of building, programming, etc.
Middle School Competitive Robotics Team, Grade 8:
VEX Competitions task teams of students with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more. Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels and culminate at the VEX Robotics World Championship each April.
Last year our 8th grade team won the Seattle VEX IQ League!
