Safe Environment Program
Assists the Archbishop in coordinating child abuse prevention efforts throughout the archdiocese. Supports parishes, schools and agencies of the Archdiocese of Seattle with all Safe Environment efforts, including background checks, Safe Environment training and development and implementation of related policies.
All volunteers at St. Matthew School are required to take the training provided by the Archdiocese.
The certification requirements include an initial 3-hour seminar followed by annual online courses. You may begin volunteering prior to taking the class - you must take the class within 90 days of when you start volunteering.

Volunteer Hours
Every family is an important part of the education of all students. Each family contributes time, talent and treasure to the education of every student at
St. Matthew School. Your commitment to education is what makes this a unique
and thriving school.
Each family must volunteer 40 hours throughout the year with 8 hours dedicated
to the fundraising efforts of the Annual School Auction, $CRIP, the Annual School Fund Drive, the Wrapping Paper Sale or Labels for Education/BoxTops.
